My Queen of the Night

It's one of those things I never thought I would be working on until my mid-late twenties, but it seems to be a really good fit right now. I'm preparing my first Queen of the Night aria--it's the less famous one, but still. It feels like a big deal to me. I mean... this has basically been my dream role ever since I started singing seriously, and here I am, starting to iron this baby out.

Kind of makes me wonder where my voice will end up when I settle into a career, since the timbre is already so dramatic when I'm still just in school...

But yea. That's exciting. Definitely lots of things happening this past month. I'm so busy it feels like I'm constantly on the verge of tardiness. Time is ticking, and I can't seem to decide if I would prefer that the last two weeks of school speed past or slow down. On the one hand, I have more work to do than there are hours in the day. On the other, I just don't care anymore and want everything to end already.

Can't wait for next weekend..
