My New Song

Got the OK to start on Donizetti's "L'amante Spagnuolo" translated: "The Spanish Lover."

It's a totally cute song, and I love singing it! But it's really fast... and there's a lot of them Italian words crammed into not so many beats. I've never sung words so quickly in succession before, so I'm totally having a not so bitchin time trying to fit all those syllables into every single sixteenth triplet... whew.

I always thought Italian songs were way easier than French and German... this song may have just changed my mind. Fast Italian is quite the mouthful!

Despite that minor setback, I had a lot of fun practicing just now because the song itself is 100% adorable, and I love singing it :)
